INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE

Life at Selah

A slower kind of experience in the Italian countryside—filled with movement, workshops, meaningful conversations, shared meals, and room to breathe again.

The Rhythm

There is a plan, but there is also plenty of room to breathe.

We usually begin slowly, with coffee, breakfast, and morning movement. From there, the day may include a workshop, a devotional, time by the pool, a walk through town, or an afternoon spent exploring.

We also leave space for the moments that cannot be scheduled. Time to read, journal, talk, take a nap, or simply sit outside and enjoy where you are. You will always know what is happening, but you will never feel like you are rushing from one thing to the next.

01MORNING

Slow mornings

Mornings begin with coffee, breakfast, and enough time to ease into the day before anything starts.

02DAILY MOVEMENT

Daily mat pilates

Each day includes some form of movement, from Mat Pilates to stretching. Everything is designed for all levels, so you can participate in whatever way feels best for you.

03THROUGHOUT THE DAY

Together & Apart

We come together for workshops and honest conversations. There is also real free time to rest, journal, sit by the pool, or do whatever feels good that day.

The Gatherings

Honest conversations that help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, your faith, and the season you are in.

This is what makes Selah more than a trip to Italy. Throughout our time together, we gather for devotionals, guided reflection, and workshops created to help you step out of autopilot and take an honest look at how you have been living.

This isn’t just a vacation. It’s a chance to slow down, spend time with yourself, and find clarity around the questions you may not have had space to sit with at home.

01REFLECTION

Morning devotionals

We spend time in Scripture, reflect on a guided prompt, and leave room for prayer and quiet time.

02HONEST CONVERSATIONS

Workshops

We talk about things like burnout, rest, boundaries, identity, and how to slow down in real life.

03The soft work

Personal reflection

You will have guided prompts and time on your own to think about where you are, what is no longer working, and what you want to do differently when you return home.

The Table

Fresh food, full plates, and dinners you never want to end.

Expect fresh bread, seasonal produce, pasta, local cheeses, pastries, and simple meals that let you enjoy being in Italy. Mornings start with an easy breakfast, lunches are fresh and colorful, and dinners are served slowly around one table.

Breakfast is a traditional Italian spread with coffee, pastries, fruit, and other simple favorites. Lunch is served picnic or buffet-style with fresh salads, vegetables, breads, and seasonal dishes. Dinner is a sit-down meal when everyone gathers around the table to eat together.

The Villa

A beautiful private villa where we can settle in, slow down, and feel at home for a few days.

The experience takes place in a carefully selected villa in the Italian countryside. It is more than somewhere to sleep—it is where we have breakfast, gather for workshops, spend our free time, and come back together at the end of the day.

Group transportation from the airport to the villa, and from the villa to the airport on the last day, is included with your stay. Rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with shared and private options depending on the experience.

A place to settle in

Rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully prepared before you arrive. Shared and private options may be available, depending on the experience you choose.

02SHARED SPACES

Room to spread out

Each villa has indoor and outdoor spaces where you can read, rest, have coffee, or spend time with the group. There is always somewhere to go when you need a little time to yourself.

03YOUR HOME BASE

Everything in one place

Movement, workshops, meals, and free time all happen around the villa, so you can unpack once and settle in without constantly needing to go somewhere.

A swimming pool, a walled garden, shaded terraces, and a large kitchen at the centre of the house.

The villa includes a private pool, gardens, outdoor dining areas, comfortable shared living spaces, a full kitchen, and Wi-Fi. Fresh linens and towels are provided, along with everything you need to settle in and feel at home.

Our team stays at the villa with you and is available throughout the experience. We also share the villa address, important contact information, and arrival details with every guest before the trip.

Beyond the Villa

We come to slow down, but we also make time to enjoy the part of Italy we are in.

Each experience includes time away from the villa to explore. Depending on the location and dates, that might mean a full day in Florence, an afternoon in a nearby town, a local market, or a walk through the countryside.

Some outings are planned for the group, while others include free time to shop, eat, find a café, or explore at your own pace. The exact outings will be shared on the page for each experience.

01 DAY TRIPS

A day to explore

We plan time to visit a nearby city or town, with group transportation included so you can enjoy the day without worrying about the logistics.

02LOCAL LIFE

A slow walk out

There will be opportunities to experience the area beyond the usual tourist stops, from local cafés and shops to markets and small towns.

03 LOCAL EXPERIENCES

Cooking like a local

From hands-on cooking classes to other local experiences, we make time to enjoy Italy beyond sightseeing and learn from the people who call it home.
