CAROLYN NAHIELYS — HOST & FOUNDER
I created Selah to give women a place to slow down and care for every part of themselves.
I know how easy it is to keep moving, stay productive, and slowly feel disconnected from yourself. I wanted a space where women could slow down and be honest about how they’re really doing—in their bodies, their emotions, and their faith.
Selah is a place to move your body, reconnect with God, feel supported by other women, and remember who you are outside of everything life asks you to be. A space to care for every part of yourself, not just the parts everyone else sees.

Presence, not perfection.
Faith is part of the experience.
Slowing down takes intention.
The long table. The long walk. The long dinner.
Rest is not a reward. It is a way of living.
"I learned the beauty of slowing down and simply being present. I am leaving with a grateful heart, renewed spirit and a deeper understanding that there is so much grace to be found in rest."
— Rita
"The retreat itself was an exhale. Rooted in faith, surrounded by other women of God, it was rare to be somewhere you could enjoy people's company without the world pressing in. Nothing was left to chance — every detail had been thought through."
— Greta
+How much is a session and what is included?
Retreats begin at $2,850 per guest for a shared room. Your stay, meals, movement classes, devotionals, workshops, planned activities, and group transportation between the airport and the villa are included. Flights, travel insurance, and personal transfers outside the group schedule are arranged separately.
+What is not included?
Flights to Italy, travel insurance, and any personal expenses are not included. Group transportation between the airport and the villa is included with your stay.
+What safety measures do you take?
We require a one-on-one call with each participant so we can get to know her, answer questions, and make sure the experience is the right fit for everyone attending. We’re intentional about who joins each group because creating a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment is a priority.
+Who is permitted to attend?
Selah is held for women. You do not need to be at a crossroads or in any particular season — only quietly ready for a slower week.
+How do deposits work?
An $500 deposit holds your place. The balance is split in to 2 different payments.
+How do I book for a group?
Write to us with the names and the season you have in mind.
+How do I request roommates?
Mention them in your inquiry and we’ll pair your rooms. Every room is private — roommate requests are for those travelling together who’d like to be near one another.
+How do I join a waitlist?
On any sold-out session, choose Join the waitlist. We reach out first the moment a seat opens — and quiet cancellations do happen in the weeks before.
+How do I arrange transfers?
Group transportation between the airport and the villa is included with your stay. We will share arrival and departure details ahead of time so you know exactly when and where to meet the transfer.
+Should I purchase travel insurance?
Yes. We ask every guest to hold travel insurance that covers cancellation, interruption, and medical care abroad.
+How do I access my guest portal?
After your deposit is received, we send a private link with your itinerary, packing letter, reading list, and any updates as the week approaches.
+Can I come as a solo traveller?
Most women do. By the second evening, the table feels like one you’ve always sat at.
+What information do I need to provide when booking?
Your full name as it appears on your passport, dietary notes, any mobility considerations, and a few words on what draws you to the week.
+How do I book on behalf of someone else, as a gift?
Write to us. We’ll arrange a hand-written invitation and a gift letter, and hold her place until she’s ready to share her details.
+Are there add-on fees?
None. The price is the price — meals, activities, workshops, and wanderings are all held within it.
+What is your cancellations and refund policy?
Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a future session within a year. Cancellations more than sixty days out receive a full refund of any balance paid; within sixty days, the balance is non-refundable, which is why we ask that you hold insurance.
+What payment methods do you accept?
Deposits can be paid by credit or debit card through Stripe. Remaining payments can be made through Wise, Stripe, bank transfer, or Zelle.
+Do I need any Pilates experience?
Not at all. Our Pilates classes are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to those who practice regularly. Modifications are offered throughout, so you can move at your own pace and choose what feels right for your body.
+Is Selah a faith-based retreat?
Selah is rooted in the Christian faith. Our devotionals are grounded in biblical principles, and our practical workshops also include biblical perspectives. You do not need to identify as Christian or be at a certain place in your faith to attend. Whether you’re curious, or simply open, you are welcome here.
+What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time: 4:00PM. Please let us know if you will arrive later than 7pm local time, as we need to make some adjustments for your dinner. Check-out time: before 11:00AM.
+How many people will attend?
Each retreat is limited to 16 guests, keeping the classes, meals, and conversations intimate and personal.
