Terms of Use
The quiet practicalities — how places are held, how payments work, and what we each agree to.
01
Using this site
By browsing this website, sending an inquiry, or reserving a place, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you agree to them on her behalf as well.
You agree to give accurate information, and to use the site only for its intended purpose — learning about and reserving a Selah retreat.
02
Inquiries and reservations
Submitting an inquiry or joining a waitlist does not hold a place. A place is held once your deposit has been received and we have confirmed it in writing.
Every session is limited in size, and we reserve the right to decline or withdraw a reservation where a guest is not a fit for the week, with a full refund of anything paid.
03
Pricing and payment
Prices are quoted in US dollars per guest and cover the stay, meals, movement classes, devotionals, workshops, and planned activities described for that session. Flights, travel insurance, and personal transfers are arranged separately.
A $500 deposit holds your place. The remaining balance is split into two payments, due on the dates given in your confirmation. Places may be released if a balance payment is not received.
04
Cancellations and changes
Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a future session within one year. Cancellations more than sixty days before arrival receive a full refund of any balance paid; within sixty days, the balance is non-refundable.
If we must cancel or reschedule a session, you may transfer to another session or receive a full refund of everything paid to us. We are not responsible for flights, transfers, or other costs booked independently — which is why we ask that every guest hold travel insurance.
05
During your stay
Guests are asked to treat the house, its staff, and one another with care. We may ask a guest to leave, without refund, in the case of behaviour that endangers or seriously disrupts others.
Movement classes, walks, and activities are optional and undertaken at your own risk. Please tell us in advance about injuries, health conditions, or mobility needs so we can adapt where possible.
06
Health, travel, and insurance
You are responsible for your passport, visas, vaccinations, and any travel requirements for Italy. Every guest must hold travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, and medical care abroad.
Nothing offered during a retreat is medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
07
Photography and content
We occasionally photograph the week. If you would rather not appear in anything we share, tell us and we will keep you out of frame.
All text, photographs, and design on this site belong to Selah and may not be reproduced without permission.
08
Liability and contact
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selah is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or attendance at a retreat. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives on this page. Questions may be sent to carolyn@selahmethod.com.
